Statutory pay rate increases by VND 90,000 from July 1, 2018

The Decree No. 72/2018/NĐ-CP highlights the new statutory pay rate for public officials, public employees and armed forces’ personnel.

In specific, the statutory pay rate increases from VND 1,300,000 per month to VND 1,300,000 per month since July 1, 2018.

It will be the basis for determining:

- Levels of salaries in payrolls, allowances and other benefits as per the law with regard to individuals as defined in Article 2 of Decree No. 72/2018/NĐ-CP ;

- Subsistence allowances as per the law;

- Contributions and benefits concerning the statutory pay rate.

The Government shall request the National Assembly to consider adjusting statutory pay rate in conformity with the capacity of the state budget, consumer price index and national economic growth rate.

This Decree comes into force as of July 1, 2018 and supersedes Decree No. 47/2017/NĐ-CP dated April 24, 2017.
